Boiler/ Burner/ Control Service Technician – Apprentice
Availability: Immediate, multiple positions available
Service Area: Southern California
Skill Level: 1-3 years’ experience
Position Type: This is a full-time, hourly position. This position regularly requires long hours and travel work as job duties demand. There are periodic on-call and overtime shifts throughout the year.

Position Description- Boiler Burner Controls Technician Senior Level
Boilermaker / Welder
Availability: Immediate, multiple positions available
Service Area: Southern California
Skill Level: 5 + years experience desired
Position Type: This is a full-time, hourly position. This position regularly requires long hours and travel work as job duties demand. There are periodic on-call and overtime shifts throughout the year.
Job Description: Powerhouse Combustion & Mechanical Corporation is looking for an experienced Boilermaker Welder, responsible for comprehending and utilizing blueprints, sketches, drawings, technical manuals, and work process instructions to install, and repair boilers, pumps, burners, and other pressure vessels. The boilermaker welder collaborates with the end users, contractors, authorized inspectors, and equipment engineers. The Boilermaker will also be responsible for service work estimations, keeping the scheduler of the work informed of daily work progress, custodian of company truck, tools, equipment, and supplies. An inside administrative person provides office support for this position. This position reports directly to the Operations / Service Manager or Foreman as assigned.

Welder
Availability: Immediate, multiple positions available
Service Area: Southern California
Skill Level: 1-3 years’ experience minimum w/certifications
Position Type: This is a full-time, hourly position. This position regularly requires long hours and travel work as job duties demand. There are periodic on-call and overtime shifts throughout the year.
Job Description: Responsible for performing welding functions per job specifications. Selects equipment and plans layout and assembly of welding. Works closely and interacts with supervision and QA/QC. Works with precise limits and standards of accuracy. Powerhouse Combustion & Mechanical Corporation services a variety of Boilers, burners, combustion and controls equipment across multiple industries throughout Southern California.
Position Duties Include:
- Blue print reading
- Fitting experience a plus
- Pulse experience on stainless
- Structural Steel Welding – SMA/MIG
- Pipe Welding – SMAW/GTAW
- Vessel Fabrication – FCAW/MIG/SMAW/GTAW
- Proficient at arc gouging (is a plus but not required)
- Capable of welding qualified processes without supervision
- Must have Mathematical Skills
- Must be knowledgeable in understanding and utilizing various blueprint Drawings
- Perform / Assist in departmental fit up activities as directed by Leadman or Shop Foreman
- Ability to utilize and interpret various measuring devices and weld symbols ( Tape Measure, protractor, etc)
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical information, such as codes(ASME,API-650-620)
- Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
